Whenever I see a Black-Eyed Susan my heart skips a little happy beat and I’m wearing my red sneakers, my long stringy blonde hair in two ponytails on either side of my head, standing in the auditorium/cafeteria/gymnasium/general assembly room at Carroll Manor Elementary School singing the Maryland State song and being reminded that our state flower is the Black-Eyed Susan.

Good times. Thanks for the skip down memory lane.

  • Have I been out of the loop with end of school stuff so long that I missed your design change? It’s BEAUTIFUL!! I love it! Okay… my garden is covered in Black Eyed Susans!! So much that when they bloom, I can cut huge bouquets and bring them inside and hardly make a dent! When they bloom, I will bring you a big, giant bunch of them wrapped in a gingham ribbon!!
